AAU Second Semester Academic Calendar 2021/2022. This is to notify all students of Ambrose Alli University that the management has released an adjusted version of the second semester calendar of activities for 2021/2022 session. Detailed content of the calendar has been provided below in this post.

At the Emergency meeting held on Friday, 17 February, 2023 Senate deliberated extensively on the directive of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to close down all Universities for the General Elections.

AAU Second Semester Academic Calendar

1. Senate noted the directive and approved that non-virtual academic activities in the University be suspended and students vacate the halls of residence with effect from Wednesday, 22 February 2023 to Tuesday, 14 March 2023.

Consequently, students will during the period receive lectures from their homes through the Learning Management System (LMS) while normal administrative activities in the University continue.

Senate approved the re-adjustment of the Second Semester Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 Session as follows:

Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 – Students come to Campus

Monday, 27th March, 2023 – End of Second Semester Lectures for all students

Thursday, 30th March, 2023 – Second Semester Examinations begin with GST and ENT courses

Saturday, 29th April, 2023 – Second Semester Examinations end

Monday, 1st May, 2023 – New Students come into Campus

Monday, 22nd May, 2023 – Faculty Board of Examiners meet to consider results

Monday, 29th May- Wednesday, 31st May, 2023 —Meetings of Senate to consider results/end of 2021/2022 academic session

3. Senate approved that all academic staff compulsorily key into the use of LMS to teach their courses and that there should be no vacuum in teaching and learning during the period under reference.

Senate further emphasised that only students who have paid their school fees in full will have access to the LMS and that the Continuous Assessment (CA) test shall take place on the LMS.

The purpose of the foregoing is to inform you of the above Senate decisions and be guided accordingly.
