About the Federal Road Safety (FRSC) Recruitment Exercise

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is a paramilitary agency owned by the federal government of Nigeria. It’s basic or primary function is to ensure a free-flowing traffic on all highways in Nigeria.

The following are functions of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Nigeria:

1. Making the highway roads safe for motorists and other road users in Nigeria.
2. Recommending works and devices that can help eliminate or minimize accidents on the highways and informing the Government about localities where such works and devices are required
3. Educating motorists and other road users on the importance of highway discipline.
4. Preventing or minimizing road accidents in the country
5. Clearing all obstructions on Nigerian highways;
6. Designing and issuing of driver’s license to road users
7. Designing and producing car number plates
8. Researching the various causes of accidents and methods of preventing them

CATEGORY A – RMA Cadre:

1. Road Marshal Assistant II.

Applicants for this position must be holders of SSCE or its equivalent with English Language and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicants must obtain satisfactory grades in all subjects.

2. Road Marshal Assistant III. Federal Road Safety Recruitment

Applicants for this position must have at least 3 credits in SSCE or its equivalent, and one of the credits must be in English Language.

3. Artisans and Tradesmen.

This position is open for all Artisans and Tradesmen. Under this category, you can apply for a position as a Computer Operator, Driver, Mechanic, Electrician, Instrumentalist, Tailors, Plumbers, etc. To apply, you must possess a minimum of 4 passes in SSCE or its equivalent, and or professional certificates. Drivers and riders must have valid driver’s license.

CATEGORY B – MI Cadre:

1. Marshal Inspector I.

Applicants for this position must possess the following:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant fields
• NYSC Discharge Certificate.
• Statement of Result not older than 5 years.

2. Marshal Inspector II.

Applicants for this position must possess the following:

• Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in relevant fields.
• Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) certificate.
• Statement of Result not older than 5 years.

1. Marshal Inspector III.

Applicants for this position must possess the following:

• National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields.
• National Diploma in Community Health Extension Work.
• Statement of Result not older than 5 years.

CATEGORY C – Officer Cadre:

Officer Cadre.

Applicants for this position must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized tertiary institution in any of the following disciplines; Law, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, or Laboratory Science. Also, with Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance/Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Physical and Health Education, Accounting, Management Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, and Humanities.
• NYSC Discharge Certificate.

CATEGORY D – Officer(MBBS) Cadre:

Officer (MBBS) Cadre.

• A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized tertiary institution in Medicine
• NYSC Discharge Certificate.

General Requirements For FRSC Recruitment

Applicants for the FRSC Recruitment 2022/2023 must be:

1. Nigerian citizens by birth
2. Not be younger than 18 years or Older than 30 years, however, 35 years will be considered for medical Doctors during the recruitment.
3. Must be single
4. Applicants must not be less than 1.68 meters in height for males and 1.63 meters in height for females.
5. Applicants must have a fully expanded chest not less than 0.87 meters for men only
6. Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to carryout paramilitary activities
7. Must present a certificate of medical fitness from a government recognized hospital
8. Applicants must not have any form of criminal record, or be among in any form of financial embarrassment. Applicants must be of good character and conduct.
9. Any certificate or qualifications not declared by the applicants during the recruitment process cannot be presented for career progression in the commission.
10. Submission of false or fabricated documents will result in disqualification of applicant and prosecution.
