What Is The MTN Transfer Code?

The MTN transfer code, as I have said above, it is a code used by MTN prepaid users basically to transfer or send airtime to another user. It is a code that is given to MTN prepaid users by MTN so that they can send airtime.

MTN is always concerned about its customers, which is you. That’s why they brought a code that you can easily generate by yourself to send airtime to the ones you love. Moreso, you can use the code to also request airtime from others. It doesn’t require any data connection.

What Do I Need To Generate The MTN Transfer Code?

If you want to generate the MTN transfer code, there are some things you will need. These things are:

How To Generate The MTN Transfer Code?

As I said earlier, in this post you would learn how you can generate or activate the MTN transfer code on your mobile phone. If you want to generate the MTN transfer code, then you have to change your MTN default PIN. If you change the default PIN, then it would show that you are ready to transfer airtime to other MTN users. To change the default PIN, simply dial “*600* old PIN* new PIN#”.

Why Do I Need To Generate The MTN Transfer Code?

The MTN transfer code must be generated by all MTN users that wish to transfer airtime to somebody else like their loved ones. It must be generated so that we can define and know our transfer PIN. Without generating the code, we may find it difficult to know our transfer PIN.

You also need to generate the code so that you can send airtime to your family and friends anywhere, anytime in Nigeria. You don’t need an internet connection to download an application nor will there be bank charges of any kind.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

There are some questions you might want to ask on generating the MTN transfer code. I will be covering those questions so that you will not find any problems while generating the MTN transfer code.

What Is The MTN Default PIN?

The MTN default PIN is the four-digit number that has been preset by MTN on your phone number whenever it is your first to send airtime to other MTN users. The MTN default code is “0000″.

Can I Change My MTN Default PIN?

Yes, you can change your MTN default PIN for the MTN transfer code. The way to generate your code is by changing your MTN default PIN to any 4-digit number you like. As stated above, to change the default PIN, simply dial *600* old PIN* new PIN#”.

How Can I Retrieve My MTN Transfer PIN?

There’s no specific or confirmed method of retrieving your MTN transfer PIN. But you can contact the MTN customer care line. That is, by simply dialing “180“.

How Do I Transfer Airtime With The MTN Transfer Code?

At this point, you have generated but you still don’t know how to transfer airtime. You can easily transfer airtime by just dialing *777*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# on your phone and sending or pressing OK. For example, if you want to send airtime of N1500 to your friend’s number whose number is “08012345678”, dial *777*08012345678*1500*1234# and then send. When the transfer has been completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful.

I Am Having Trouble With Generating My MTN Transfer Code, What Else Can I Do?

You might still have some problems while generating the MTN transfer code even after all I have explained above. If you have any issues, you can just call the MTN customer care line which is “180”.

Conclusion:

I hope you have learned how you can generate and use the MTN transfer code. As you can see, it is easy to generate the code without any form of data or internet connection or downloading any app. The MTN transfer code is used by many MTN users who want to show love by sending airtime to their family or friends.
