Please make sure you create a PIN you can easily remember.

To transfer airtime on MTN for the first time, you need to use the MTN transfer code as I have stated earlier. You can easily transfer airtime by just dialing *777*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# on your phone and sending or pressing OK.

For example, if you want to send airtime of N1500 to your friend’s number whose number is “08012345678”, dial *777*08012345678*1500*1234# and then send. When the transfer has been completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful.

Please make sure you have enough amount in your MTN account balance. Do not let the amount you are sending be more than your balance.

Install the MTN official app which is MyMTN.
Open the app and log in or create an account with your MTN phone number.
Click/go to the transfer of airtime or data via the MyMTN app.
Input the Sender’s phone number which is your phone number.
You will receive a one-time password from MTN, input it and proceed.
Click on Recharge.
Next, tap on MTN Share and proceed on.
After that, input the amount you want to send.
Put in the PIN that you created.
Enter the receiver’s MTN Number and wait for confirmation.
