About National Directorate of Employment (NDE)

The National Directorate of Employment is a Nigerian Government Agency that was formed precisely in 1986, the agency is 34 years old now.

The objective of the agency was the designing and implementation of job creation programmes in Nigeria.

These objectives will encourage the generation of employment, tackle poverty, enhance wealth generation, and enhance attitudinal change.

The formation of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) was as a result of the myriad Nigerian Unemployed Graduates who were vehemently searching for employment in both federal government agencies as well as the private sectors.

The federal government recently announced the resumption of the Special Public Works Programme with the main objective of employing no fewer than 774,000 citizens.

The announcement of the SPWP was made through the Official Twitter handle  of the Federal Government on Tuesday.

As a result of this, the total sum of N52 billion has been apportioned for the said SPWP programme as enshrined in the 2022 budget.

NDE Special Public Works Programme Recruitment

The Special Works Programme (SPW) is categorized into different groups.

Graduate Attachment Programme (GAP)

  • Also a Graduate Coaching Scheme (GCS)
  • Graduate Special Training Programme (GSTP)
  • Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS)
  • Solar Energy Training Scheme (SETS)
  • Community Development Scheme (CDS)
  • Finally, Labour Based Technology Training Scheme (LBTS)

How  To Apply For NDE Recruitment

The official website for the NDE Recruitment portal is https://nde.gov.ng/. Presently, the NDE Portal is closed for registration of new recruitment.

Upcoming recruitments will be done publicly and every detail will be made available on the official website https://nde.gov.ng/.

Unemployed Nigerians or people that are looking for jobs should endeavour to read the conditions required during the recruitment registration.

Anyone that has fulfilled the requirement can surely apply for the recruitment online.

If you are unable  to meet the requirement, you may have to cancel any intention of applying for NDE Jobs 2022.

Steps To Apply Online

The first step towards registering online is to visit the NDE Recruitment Portal – https://nde.gov.ng/.

After opening the portal, you should head to the current recruitment section.

Ensure to read the requirements and how to apply for available vacancies.

Navigate to the where you see ‘Apply’ and click on it, fill the NDE Registration 2021.

Submit the for after checking and get a printout of your information and confirmation.

Mistakes  To Avoid While Applying For NDE Jobs 2022

Several people fail in their bid to secure jobs with NDE because of avoidable  mistakes during registration and not because they are not qualified.

Ensure to apply early, avoid waiting for the deadline.

Apply by yourself, never allow someone else to register on your behalf to avoid errors in your information.

You are allowed to apply for one job position. Attempting to apply for two or more job positions will get you disqualified.

NDE Recruitment General Requirements

Below are the NDE recruitment basic requirements.

Three (3) credit grades in WAEC/SSCE including Maths, English, and two (2) other relevant subjects.

National Examination Council (NECO), General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level.

Four (4) passes in one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including English Language is a must.

Candidates must posses B.Sc, HND, NCE, OND in any discipline from a recognized institution.

National Diploma (ND) obtained from a recognized higher institution.

National Certificate of Education (NCE) obtained from a recognized institution.

Additional Requirements

Apart from basic requirements listed above, there are other requirements that will boost your chances of success.

Good knowledge of computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

Geographically mobile both in and outside Nigeria. ABU Post-UTME/DE Form 2021: Cut-off mark and Requirements

Exceptional problem-solving skills. Dollar to Naira Rate

Age requirement is between 18 – 35 years

Adequately skilled on creating writing, analytical writing, and scriptwriting.

Has capacity of undertaking self-tutorship.

NDE Shortlisted Applicant Update

Candidates that have been shortlisted have one feet on the door. The next task for them is to excel at the final stage which is the interview.

After being shortlisted,

Try to get full details about the company.

Clearly define your vision. Tell yourself your reason for applying for the specific position and how you are going to fit in perfectly. Endeavor to go through your application once more.

Try as much as possible to be interactive during the interview. Understand that it is not an interrogation but an interview, be conversational in your response. This speaks more than your resume.
